Biotechnology Track of the Leo Baeck Educational Center and the 12th Grade Biology Track of the Reali School in Haifa Visit the Faculty In early and mid-February, During their visit, they were introduced to our classrooms and research laboratories. Both schools attended fascinating introductory lectures about the Faculty, presented by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Esti Segal, Associate Professor Biaz Mizhrahi, Dr. Tzachi Raizel, faculty member, and Dr. Adi Gross, lab manager for Associate Professor Mizhrahi.
Following the lectures, the students conducted surprising and delicious experiments in the industrial kitchen of the Karaso Center for Innovation in Food Technologies with PhD candidate Emil Yeshaya and Master’s student Gabriella Amiram. They also worked in the microbiology lab with PhD student Nofar Yehuda, examining the biological activity of bacteria and exploring the wonders of electron microscopy and its capabilities.
It was a great pleasure to see how the students of the program practically and tangibly engage with what they learn in the classroom in our laboratories. Based on the enthusiasm observed, it’s highly likely that we will meet most of them soon as regular students at our Faculty.
