Yesterday, a heartwarming and very emotional ceremony of the dean’s office transition took place.
The ceremony opened with words of greeting from the President of the Technion, Professor Uri Sivan, and the Head of the Faculty Administration, Ms. Liat Retter, accompanied by an emotional video and a quiz that humorously and affectionately summarized Professor Yaron’s tenure.
In addition, Professor Yaron presented Professor Sagal with a “Survival Kit for the Incoming Dean” 😃.
Later, Professor Yaron gave a speech and expressed her gratitude for her time serving as dean. Of course, the incoming dean, Professor Esti Sagal, also delivered an emotional speech.
The ceremony was highlighted by the families of both deans, who were just as emotional as the deans themselves and contributed to the special feeling of warmth and home at the faculty.
We concluded the ceremony with a festive candle lighting and a delicious spread.
Thank you to Professor Yaron for her tenure as dean of the faculty, and best wishes for success to Professor Sagal, the incoming dean.
