Our Excellence Goes Far: Dr. Lior Levy Wins the NIH FARE 2027 Award

05 October 2026

As a Faculty that has made academic and research excellence a core part of its mission, few things make us prouder than seeing one of our own recognized for exactly that – and with such an impressive award.
Huge congratulations to Dr. Lior Levy, PhD, a graduate of our Faculty, on receiving the The National Institutes of Health FARE 2027 Award for Research Excellence.

Lior began his academic journey with us and continued his graduate studies in the lab of Prof. Marcelle Machluf. Today, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the NIH in Washington, D.C.
His research focuses on improving the immune system’s ability to recognize and attack cancer cells, with the goal of advancing more precise and effective cancer treatments.

Stories like this, where excellence that begins here continues to grow and earn recognition at the forefront of international research, are the moments that make us especially proud and remind us why we strive for academic and research excellence in the first place – so that outstanding science can translate into a real and positive impact on human lives.
We’re proud of you, Lior, and excited to see where your research takes you next.
