What an exciting evening at our Faculty!
Tonight, our newest graduates celebrated the completion of their studies and received their M.Sc. degrees in Biotechnology and Food Engineering.
The ceremony, hosted by Prof. Boaz Mizrahi, opened with kind words from the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ester Segal, who also paid special tribute to the graduates’ families for the support and encouragement they provided throughout a particularly challenging and unconventional period of study.
Next, Assoc. Prof. Guy Mechrez gave the audience a glimpse into the fascinating research conducted in his laboratory, including a live demonstration of some of his team’s achievements.
Representing the graduating class, Adi Shalem then took the stage and shared some of the students’ experiences from their extraordinary journey through graduate school.
She was followed by Haoyang Yan, a student from the Technion’s GTIIT campus in China, who shared his unique story and the journey that brought him all the way from China to our Faculty.
The evening culminated in the presentation of the degrees, followed by one of those moments every graduate waits for – caps in the air! 🎓
