Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Guy Mechrez, who took part in a special ceremony honoring the recipients of Horizon Europe funding.
Organized by ISERD – Israel-Europe R&D Directorate and held at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem in the presence of President Isaac Herzog, the ceremony recognized Israeli researchers and innovators whose projects received funding through Horizon Europe, the European Union’s flagship research and innovation program, known for its highly competitive and prestigious grants.
The event also marked 30 years of scientific collaboration between Israel and Europe, a partnership that has produced thousands of joint projects and continues to demonstrate that knowledge, innovation, and scientific excellence know no borders.
Especially during these challenging times, the participation and achievements of Israeli researchers in the European research arena are powerful testimony to the strength of Israeli research in general, and of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in particular, as well as to its ability to forge meaningful connections and make a lasting international impact.
Guy, all of us at the Faculty are proud of you and of the research conducted in your laboratory.
