Congratulations to Assistant Professor Omer Yehezkeli for winning the award for excellence in research in memory of Daniel Shiran (RIP) 2023.
Assistant Professor Yehezkeli’s research is focused on the development of novel enzyme-based amperometric biosensors for the detection of essential biomarkers, such as glucose and lactate. Additionally, the research presents new approaches for the construction of enzymatic biofuel cell devices. These developed configurations enable the utilization of our body fluids as fuels for the generation of electrical power.
