An excellent year begins with outstanding people!
Just before the start of the new year, during our Faculty’s festive Rosh Hashanah gathering, we had the pleasure of recognizing two outstanding members of our team:
Dr. Adi Gross, Lab Manager in Prof. Boaz Mizrahi’s laboratory, and Dr. Lubov Iliassafov, researcher in Prof. Yechezkel Kashi’s laboratory.
Dr. Adi Gross is much more than an outstanding Lab Manager. She is a professional and social anchor and a driving force within our Faculty.
Adi manages the lab with professionalism, responsibility, and precision, mentors students and researchers, leads projects, and advances collaborations with initiative and creativity. Her door is always open, and her contribution extends far beyond the laboratory, from welcoming new employees and introducing young people to the world of science to initiating activities that strengthen our sense of community.
Her unique combination of professionalism, dedication, compassion, and quiet leadership makes Adi a true asset to our Faculty.
Dr. Lubov Iliassafov is an outstanding and dedicated researcher who plays a leading role in innovative research across microbiology, food, and environmental science.
Luba leads complex research projects, mentors generations of students, initiates collaborations, and continuously brings new ideas and technologies into the lab. Known affectionately as the “mother of the lab,” she is always there for those around her, generously sharing her knowledge and creating a warm and positive environment.
Her professionalism, dedication, and exceptional interpersonal skills make this recognition truly well deserved.
Adi and Luba, we are incredibly proud of you and so happy to have you as part of our Faculty community.
