Science Track Students from Herzliya’s HaYovel High School Visit Faculty

19 January 2025

This December, we welcomed students from the science tracks at HaYovel Comprehensive School in Herzliya, accompanied by their teacher, Lior Barkai-Meiri. The visiting group, comprising students specializing in biotechnology, chemistry, physics, and computer science, participated in an engaging program that included a thought-provoking lecture by Professor Uri Lesmes on “The Food Industry: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.” They also toured our cutting-edge facilities, including Professor Avi Shpigelman’s Food Innovation and Bioprocessing Laboratory and Professor Omer Yehezkeli’s Nano-Bio Interfaces Laboratory, guided by PhD candidates Rachel Levy and Matan Meirovich. Throughout their visit, these bright students posed insightful and challenging questions, demonstrating genuine interest and intellectual curiosity about the subjects presented. We look forward to welcoming many of them as future students in our faculty.
