Today we witnessed a powerful example of excellence in action.
A big thank you to the dozens of participants who joined us today at the “Foodtech Under Fire” conference, held as part of the Israeli Excellence Week 2026, at the Carasso FoodTech Innovation Center in our Faculty and was hosted by Assoc. prof. Avi Shpigelman.
It was a true pleasure to meet such an inspiring community of entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry professionals, who came together to explore a fundamental question: how do we sustain and advance excellence in the foodtech ecosystem when operating conditions become complex, unstable, and at times even hostile?
Many thanks to our panel moderators and speakers – Michal Fink, Hanan Brand, Dganit Vered, Prof. Ester Segal, Dr. Daniel Dikovsky, Naftali Zinker, and Shay Cohen – and to everyone who took part in the discussions: Prof. Eyal Shimoni, Shelly Lotan (Adv.) Michael Gordon, Hadar Ekhoiz Razmovich, Prof. Gadi Schuster, Prof. Zvi Hayouka, Prof Uri Lesmes, Oren Avrashi, and Juili Guo.
Above all, a special thank you to Tnuva, FRESH START FoodTech Incubator IL, and The Good Food Institute Israel for partnering with us in initiating this important conference.
It was inspiring to see how the discussions, diverse perspectives, and shared purpose created meaningful connections throughout the day – highlighting both the dynamism of the field and the critical role of collaboration across the ecosystem in driving progress and sustaining a shared commitment to excellence.
We were honored to host this event at our Faculty, proud to be part of such an outstanding community, and look forward to meeting you again at future events.
