Biotechnology Olympics: Celebration of Science, Engineering, and Innovation

280 high school students competed in this 2nd year Biotechnology Olympics competition. Ron Amit, a Twelve-grade high school student from Mevaseret Zion, won first place with his project: Cellular radiation implications on Alzheimer disease.
He won a full scholarship for one year at the Technion.
A special thanks to Ms. Judith Deskalo, superintendent of Biotechnology, Ministry of Education; Prof. Ayelet Fishman, and Assistant Prof. Omer Yehezkeli, Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering, for their joint work and efforts to make this event happen.
